RPRA and Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Explore Collaboration Opportunities

RPRA's International Cooperation Working Group is building ties with professional associations from BRICS+ nations.

As part of this strategic dialogue, representatives from the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) and the Russian Public Relations Association (RPRA) held a meeting. The discussion brought together leading PR industry experts from both Russia and India.

PRSI boasts a network of 25 regional chapters with 5,000 members, a youth wing named "Nalanda," and dedicated programs to advance public relations research.

During the meeting, the participants explored prospects for interaction, knowledge sharing, and joint communication initiatives.

A key focus of the discussion was the development of a partnership network among the PR associations of BRICS+ countries and the creation of bilateral platforms for exchanging knowledge and best practices. Particular attention was given to opportunities for joint events, research projects, and enhanced collaboration between Russian and Indian PR agencies.

"We are open to new international partnerships and are delighted to explore collaboration opportunities with RPRA," stressed Dr. Ajit Pathak, President of PRSI. "While we haven't previously worked with Russia, despite the traditionally friendly relations between our countries, we see great potential for joint projects. We are interested in both online initiatives and the in-person formats that we have already successfully implemented with other nations."

"RPRA is actively developing its international cooperation, and we are particularly interested in engaging with PR associations from BRICS countries," noted Andrei Andreev, Head of the RPRA Working Group on International Cooperation. "We see significant potential in organizing a meeting of the heads of our countries' PR associations to share knowledge and practices. We are also pleased to invite PRSI representatives to RPRA's key events: the 'RPRA. Reputation' Forum in April and PR Days in November. This year, we are keen to jointly prepare a BRICS+ PR Report to summarize the year's outcomes for the PR industry across the BRICS nations."

The meeting outlined the following areas for future collaboration:

  • Organizing a meeting between the Indian and Russian PR associations focused on specific areas of activity.
  • Exchanging recommendations for reputable PR agencies between PRSI and RPRA.
  • Sharing the 2025 calendar of events for both PRSI and RPRA.

"RPRA is committed to expanding its international contacts and professional exchange," noted Diana Akchurina, founder of Easy Communications. "We see tremendous opportunities for joint projects with PRSI and other professional bodies. We hope this meeting marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration that will strengthen the position of our countries' PR specialists on the global stage."
